I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I looked back through the last 10 pages and couldn't see anything and the search function said my search terms were too common.
I have just started my first AF after a d&c 5 weeks ago. I had the d&c at 11wks after we learned that the baby had stopped growing at around 8wks.
As soon as AF started, I started getting the shakes and the pain has been ramping up steadily. I actually knew AF had started before I even went to the toilet because I felt this way.
This is what AF used to be like for me before I was pg with DD (which was 2 months after I had a lap to remove endo). I used to have 3 days of pain so severe that I couldn't function, couldn't move and couldn't sleep. There was never anything I could do to relieve it, I just had to brace myself for those 3 days each month and suffer through it, knowing it would end.
The thing is, after DD was born and AF returned, I didn't get any of that. I don't know if it was the lap, the pg or both, but the 5 AFs I had between the two pg were virtually pain-free. They were still heavy, but didn't hurt at all.
I'm scared that somehow the m/c or d&c (or both) have messed up whatever had changed and that this pain will be back permanently.
So, how was your AF after your d&c? Painful? Could this be a one-off because of the d&c or is it more likely the endo wreaking havoc again?
