11wk m/c, what to expect?

Hun, just wanted to send you big hugs I'm so sorry you're going through a m/c ATM. Its a pity I'm in Melbourne as I would take you hun!! It's such an isolating experience. I'm don't have any advice hun as my m/c was very late, but like Dianne said, sometimes the placenta doesn't want to come away (mine didn't want to) so they did a D & C on me after I birthed my DS. Maybe just wait and see, and if all gets too painful for you go to the hossy.

Hey Hun,
I had one at almost 12 weeks actually there was no sign of my body m/c & like you I didn't want a d&c so I opted for taking some tablets called ru486. I was at the point I just wanted it over with, it had been weeks of up n down & waiting so I went through the Marie Stopes Clinic.
They told me I'd have cramping like AF and m/c clots etc, thinking it wouldn't be too bad that's the road I went down.
It was really painful for me, I had vomiting & the runs and severe cramping for 8hrs (sorry if this is tmi or too graphic but I'd assume I would have been in just as much pain m/c naturally).
If it happened again I'd get the d&c. Everyone is different & you may not go through the same experience but I just wanted to give you mine and send you lots of hugs. I know how hard it is.
I can't see what suburb you're in, im on my phone, but if your in Melb perhaps I can go with you.

Im so sorry for your loss. I cant answer your question because I had a D&C at 11 weeks because bub had passed at 10w but my body had not started the m/c process on its own. Its so very hard.

Just I miscarried at 10 weeks but it was a missed M/c and had a D&C so no help sorry

Firstly big hugs and I am so sorry for your loss.

I had a D & C done, only a little cramping. Hardly any bleeding afterwards and felt great.
But a week and half later I started getting cramping/bleeding etc so GP put me on antibiotics. So I'm not much help for you. Only advice is keep an eye on things and if things just don't feel right go straight to doctors.

My girlfriend naturally miscarried a month earlier. She said it was terrible. She was in that much pain she ended up in hospital twice.

Everyone experience will be different.

To be very honest, I have had a m/c at your stage, and to be very honest, it was very very painful. The bleeding would not subside and I was admitted into hospital twice.

Please be very careful, can you go to your local GP and get some advice and prepare yourself and your body ?

You need to make sure you look after your body very carefully during this time, and I really think you need medical advice.

I'm ok for the moment, the bleeding has very slowed down. Still cramping. Just hoping this will be all over with by Friday as I have to take the kids to Sydney for DD's B'day.

If you do get an D&C could they let you stay in overnight and then drive yourself home the next day? Or won't that work with your children? I know in hospitals if there is extenuating circumstances they don't just kick you out, and you would be ok to drive the next day I would imagine.

staying over night really wouldn't work with the kids.

I don't really have doubt in my ability to get through this at home more I was just trying to prepare myself for what I might see. I've seen sacks at 9wks but wasn't sure how much more I could expect with another 2wks on top of that.

I've got plenty of pain killers here to help me get through it. Cramping has really ramped up in the last 45mins, bleeding is still lighter than I had expected though. Hoping I can make it through DD's birthday dinner tonight.
