2 chemical pregnancies in 3 months. Help!

Hi. I just wanted to share my story and see if anyone had a similar experience...

My husband and I have been ttc for 3 months. In the first month, I was so excited to get a positive hpt. It was a faint line, but everything I read said 'a faint line means you're pregnant - congratulations!'. We got a blood test which was inconclusive (due to low levels), but my doctor said we probably just tested too early. After a few more faint lines, I ended up with several negative tests. It was at that time that I read about chemical pregnancies. A few days later, my period came and I was shattered!

The next month, we had no luck at all, but after what happened the first time I wasn't expecting anything.

Anyway, this month I was confident that we had conceived when I ovulated. I had symptoms right away. It killed me waiting 2 weeks for my period due date to come, but when the day finally arrived (which happened to be my 30th birthday), I was THRILLED to see a line (faint, but still a line) on my hpt. I tested every day and the line slowly got darker. Still not really strong, but the fact that it was getting darker made me think that this was really it! By the 4th day, however, I had NO LINE AT ALL!!! This happened yesterday. I am so so so upset.

I am now wondering WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME????????? Three months, 2 chemical pregnancies. Will it ever happen?? Has anyone had an experience like this?

Sarah- I myself have had a loss, but no Chemical Pregnancies. From what I understand it can be caused by (I may be wrong) but low Progesterone or several other things, which allow you to actually fall pregnant, but getting them to "stick" is the hard part. I would suggest going to the Doctors and letting them know that you have now had 2 (or you can lie and tell them you have had 3 or more) Chemical Pregnancies and you really wish they would do some checks on those things. They may only need to put you on some tablets, which can be successful. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you all the best. And I hope you have 3rd time lucky. Try stay positive, when I had my loss I had soooo many people come out of the woods that told me they had several losses before having their children and I had no idea. I used that as my hope to get me through. xx

Just an update, my AF arrived yesterday. It's been horrible. I feel alone and sad and really worried. The more I read about CP, the more I am terrified that I have a serious problem here. Many threads say that it's unlikely to have more than one CP, but I have had 2 in 3 months. I am going to see a doctor tomorrow. I'm just so sad and I feel like this could be the beginning of a long road. I just keep thinking that this time one week ago, I was so happy and excited. This isn't supposed to be like this.

    Hi Sarahk
Just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear about your experiences
The ttc journey is not an easy one be strong and persistent because you will get there and have your little bub!
We lost 2, 1 blighted ovum @ 12 weeks & another unknown why at about 8 weeks.
I know how you're feeling, it's devastating but you'll get there and it will be worth it when you do!
Hope someone can give you lots of hugs and encouragement, don't forget to cry when you need to, it helps!
M/c although horrible are incredibly common, they say 1 in 3 preg end in a m/c, sometimes the embryo just doesn't develop the way it should etc
    Thinking of you!

Hi Sarah I'm sorry the start of your ttc journey has been so upsetting and confusing for you already.

TTC is so difficult for many of us and alot harder than we ever imagine it is going to be..... I had a chemical pg the 2nd month of trying when we were trying to conceive my daughter and it came after an early loss (miscarriage at 4wks) so that was really hard. It happened how yours did too, the BFPs and then they got lighter and disappeared and AF came....it was so devastating and felt so cruel. I understand how you are feeling. My DD took 8 months to conceive and we are trying for bub #2 at the moment and it's so far taking 5 months

It WILL happen. The waiting sucks and it is hard but chances are you can conceive and all is healthy and normal with your body. If it's really worrying you then make an appointment to see your GP and just have a chat.
It can take up to 12 months for many healthy fertile couples to conceive (I know it sucks to hear that!!!)and that's all normal.

Good luck I hope it happens for you soon hun
