    Bleeding after D&C

I had my D&C on Monday afternoon and since then have only had very light pink but mostly brown spotting. I thought that it would be more like a period then this.

Is something wrong or is this what it's suppose to be like?

Oh Amanda, I'm so sorry to hear your news

With my D&C a few years ago I think the bleeding virtually stopped for a few days then came back - and I was also quite surprised. For me it was very light but much longer than a normal period IYKWIM. So no, I don't think anything is wrong with that.

    Take care

    xx

    Sorry to hear Amanda

After my D&C my bleeding was the same, very light pink that faded to brown in a couple of days.

Amanda I'm sorry to learn of your little angel
I had my D&C last Thursday and only started bleeding heavily on Saturday. I'm still bleeding now but it has started to ease off a bit and is now a brownish colour whereas before it was bright red. I guess we are all different when it comes to these sorts of things

Thanks everyone for your responses, still very little bleeding, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Hi Amanda, it is really worrying when something happens that you don't expect..I have had heavy bleeding with clots after D&C, once though I thought it had stopped a few days later only to find it return, you may find it gets heavier...???

Just keep an eye on it if it gets smelly or you are in pain go get checked out straight away. They are trying to remove as much as possible so it might be that they have done a very good job.
Take care and get lots of rest.

Amanda - what Blackduckies just said reminded me too... while mine was light for ages (longer than I expected - about 16 days all up) but I did get clots towards the end, then it stopped. So just to warn you that may happen.

    Take care,
    xx Belfie.

Annoyingly, pretty much anything is normal bleeding. Unless there's a bad smell, lots of pain or big clots, everything is ok. Hope your doing ok xo
