How long do you think before...

I am just wondering how soon I can expect the betas to start to go down and start AF?
I don't see my OB again until this time next week and I just know he will say that a D&C is the recommendation.
I am 7w1d yet a scan (due to spotting on the evening of 6w3d) showed a sac only measuring maybe 5 wks and maybe something inside but too small to tell.
My beta at 6w4d was 1762 and at 7wk exactly was 2183.
pretty obvious to me what is happening but when can I expect it?
We are heading away on a short holiday interstate on the 15th with Dhs parents. They know nothing of what is happening and I want to keep it that way. I don't need their lectures about age etc all over again.

My other losses were detected then a D&C booked either that day or within a week. DH is away this weekend so I am hoping it doesnt start while he is away as I tend to hemorrhage with m/c.

Judy try to beleive it will be ok the results went up ! I had a bt done at 13wks and only had a reading of 2500 but I had not had any bt tests done before then as I had a BFP and did nothing until wk 12 when I had to go for routine bts and the next week I started to spot and eventually went for a D&C as it was not coming away by its self

I have all my fingers and toes crossed that this bub will prove you wrong and is hanging on in there sometimes we know too much !!!! about results I mean but saying that I felt sick and had sore boobies right upto having my D&C hence thinking everything was ok

hmmm.. 62 views and no opinions.
maybe people think because of my age and previous losses I should know everything, but I don't each time is different.
I may be 'old' but according to my OB I am not over the hill yet and there is always the chance of a good egg while I am still regular.

So sorry that you're going through this

When I m/c this year I let it go naturally, bled for about 10 days then got AF about 2 weeks after that.

I know your age and I know you can do it again and so can I we just have to beleive in our bodies and your right the amount of times youv'e been pg or mc means nothing as every one is so different and you just have to wait it out !! sorry but time is on your side !!!

With the title, I clicked on here without really knowing what it was about. It has nothing to do with your age, people have read and like me, have no idea on the answer for you. Its by no way a judgement against you.

Im so sorry you are going through this I hope you get some answers soon

Technically I don't think the betas start to drop until your body realises bub is gone and starts to expel it. How long is a similar q to how long is a piece of string.

Though to me, it doesn't sound like the Ob is certain it's a non-viable pregnancy or surely he would have organised a consult earlier. Are you sure your dates are accurate? Are they going to do another scan?

Hi kim. I have another scan on the 28th. My dates are accurate because I have been charting and doing OPKs.. but I did have 2 lots of pos OPKs which has confused my chart no end.

Thank you Mumma Mia for replying.

Crafty we must have been typing at the same time. I wish I could be more hopeful but I have had far too many losses now to find any hope. I am seriously thinking of getting my tubes done because I am so tired of the anxious times and sadness time after time. I do have 5 children with many gaps in their ages and my last is such a treasure.
I think I will go disappear for a while.
    hugs

I forgot I posted this. My betas continued to go up, June 28 4600, June 30 5250 and an hour after I got the last beta I miscarried. I continued to pass huge clots TMI for the next 3 hours but had to go for a D&C due to the hemorrhaging. My body can't even miscarry correctly. I feel as if my OB is only there now to fix up my mistakes Due to the heavy clots and D&C though I luckily only spotted for 2 dyas afterwards and it was all over.
