    early miscarriage

Hi there, I can't believe I am even writing this but I think I am in the process of another miscarriage. Our first one was very early and was just like a really long period. This time I found out at our 7 week scan that bub was measuring 5 wks, 4 days and I had been spotting for about 5 days. I was sent for repeat bloods and due for another scan on Friday but I started getting quite bad cramps last night and woke up this morning to bleeding and clotting ( just like a period at this stage). So I guess I am wondering what to expect, do I have to go to the hospital? I really would prefer to just be at home in privacy and I doubt there is much they can do anyway is there? I hope this isn't too graphic, I'm just wondering what to expect and hoping to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation.
    Thanks x

    so sorry for your loss.

Based on how early it is, I wouldnt think you need to go to hospital unless you are in extreme pain. You're right, there's nothing they can do anyway.

    I'm so sorry hun, xxxx
Unless you get pain that you are finding hard to deal with or you are feeling dizzy or just not right then go to hospital.
Otherwise, just snuggle up and try to take it easy. xxxx

I'm so sorry. In my experience, going to the hospital only amplifed my anguish. Lengthy waits and cold words from drs didn't help, for me. As long as you aren't bleeding very heavily, feeling dizzy or extremely ill, I would stay at home and be gentle with yourself. I would reccomend seeing your GP for a referral to have an u/s in a week or so time to confirm the loss.

I'm really sorry you're experiencing this again.

Thank you so much for your kindness, it makes the whole thing feel less lonely! Physically I feel ok, the cramping right now just feels like period pain which I get pretty badly anyway so I am used to it.
Forshelby that was my intuitive feeling too, that I would be waiting on my own for goodness knows how long only to be treated like I had stubbed my toe or something equally uninteresting! I had to see a different GP the other day and he cheerfully informed me that 1 in 5 pregnancies resulted in miscarriage, this was said quite randomly as though it was a fun trivia fact and just casually inserted into an unrelated conversation.
I have another scan booked for Friday anyway so I will keep that appt just to check that everything is progressing as it should.

I would try to stay at home. Look after yourself and keep an eye on the bleeding over the next few days. My advice would be that if the bleeding continues or spotting for a bit more than you feel is right, then to go to your GP for further advice ITMS.

I am sorry that this is happening again

Maybe I am so sorry honey the decision to go into hospital is entirely yours. I don't blame you for curling up in Bed. At the moment I would do whatever is comfortable and if you start feeling pain or sickness then head in. please take care of yourself darling xxxx

maybebaby, Im so sorry for your loss

I agree with the other girls. Perhaps consider a blood test or two in a while as well to ensure that the HCG has dropped to the appropraite level to be sure that you dont need a D&C too Be kind to yourself, hun.

Thanks everyone, I'm by myself today and somehow your comments from far away are a comfort to me & make me feel less lonely. Mr dr just confirmed that my betas barely rose in 5 days and my progesterone was about half of what it should be so she basically confirmed my fears and asked me to come in next week sometime for a scan to see that everything has progressed as it should.

Oh Maybe this is terrible news, I am so so sorry also. I would just cuddle in bed as you are doing and be kind to yourself. When I had mine last month it was very painfull, scary and terrible sad. There is nothing they can do, but you probably need to go for a scan to make sure and see a doctor eventually and see what they say. There is no hurry there is nothing they can do. again so sorry xxxxxx
