Lissy, I'm waiting to have a D&C too - I am also feeling at a loss but I have had so many procedures in hospital that I just wanted to reassure you that it will be OK. It can be really scary the first time but I have found most of the staff to be very caring and gentle and I was well looked after. The warm blanket they give you is really comforting. Try not to be worried - I know it is hard but everything will be OK. Let us know how you go.
Just a quick post to let you know I made it through ok. Back home by 3pm same day, which is great considering I had the poor luck of getting stuck with a nurse that did nothing but complain! i.e. 'we'll just get the num to do that so that if anything is wrong I can says that it wasnt me that did it' WHAT THE!!!!! where do they get these people??? Having said that everyone else was lovely, Dr Igor (yes that is his name, don't even try to say his last name) was the dr that saw me throughout the miscarriage & also performed D&C, was a lovely. Visited us just before we left to let us know that everything went perfectly & that we can TTC as soon as AF returns if we want to. A little bit of good news finally
Feeling quite alot better physically, but sad all the same.
DF is trying to help but doesn't understand that putting all the decision making on me ATM isn't helping one bit, just makes me want to shut down & do nothing at all.

lissy, It will eventually get easier, slowly, slowly. Just take one day at a time. Get plenty of rest and do whatever makes you feel good.
