Hun, don't feel bad about the way you are feeling and don't worry about other people worrying about you. The journey you are on at the moment is so up and down. I had days when I was feeling really strong and next day I would be an emotional wreck and I'm talking about a year after losing Emmanuel. Massive hugs to you and just take one day at a time.
I was down for quite a few months after my loss I think that straight after it you are just numb or in a fog like you say, and when the reality sets in it can hit really hard. You can't set a time frame on the grieving process, unfortunately it takes however long it takes. Although people will either assume you are or expect you to be over it after a period of time
Honestly, I'd come straight out and tell people you are not doing great, I think it just adds to the burden when you have to pretend that everything is hunky dory when its not. Some people will be understanding so you'll know who you can lean on and others won't be so supportive.
You are so right that there is no right or wrong way to cope with this. Big, big kermit xo
Just wanted to send you my support and understanding. Grief can take a long while, and present itself at odd times, a long time down the track.
I still get the wind knocked out of me some days, remembering certain things, grieving for our lost babies.
Hang in there, be gentle with yourself.
xx
