    HELP PLEASe

I've already tried to call the midwife I was speaking with at the hospital but being the long weekend the clinic is already closed.

    I had a m/c on fathers day
Now it was nearly a month ago
I stopped bleeding only two days ago
    Now today

BRIGHT RED BLOOD AGAIN and horrid cramps WTF? Should I do

Should it get bad again before it's over or is this wrong? My hcg levels last week were only 15 so we expected it all over next week.

HELP PLEASE I really don't know if it's normal or not and can't go anywhere now
Ds is finally asleep after screaming most of the day and hubby is back at work for the night (. 10pm)

Could it be that you're getting AF? I know my AF afte my MC's was painful and bright red... even very clotty.
Have you had an ultrasound done to check that everything had gone?

You could possibly call labour & delivery and speak with a midwife there.

Not sure hun. but after my M/c (but had d&C) I got AF after 26days. But maybe won't hurt to get it checked out in case you have some retained product (sorry thats a horrible name for it).

hopefully someone with better answers will come along

That sucks! I'm surprised the hospital hasn't got you one through them urgently because of your hcg levels. I've had 2 emergency ultrasounds done through PMBH which were done either the same day or next day.

I hope you get some answers soon hun

Louise at Early Pregnancy Assessment Service is great but the hospital itself Especially the ER seems really bad, in terms of service

I presented at the hospital twice with bleeding and they wouldn't even give me an u/s.
    I'm really disappointed tbh.

Disgusting. I had issues with their emergency dept and actually wrote a letter of complaint and spoke with the minister for health in regards to PMBH's emergency dept. Their director ended up calling us an promising they would look into seeing pregnant & bleeding women faster and offering them a bed. Obviously nothing has changed in 3 years.
FWIW, there was never an Early Pregnancy Assessment Service back then (that I knew of anyway) and I have had crappy ED visits at pretty much every hospital I have been to.

That's disgraceful When I was still bleeding after 6 weeks and was sent for a scan, they were already overbooked but they squeezed me in because it was so serious. I felt so bad, as soon as I got in I was called, got so many dirty looks from people who'd been waiting forever

If it was only 2 days ago since you last bled, then it's not necessarily anything to worry about urgently. However, still having HCG in your system means there's still something there, and if the levels haven't dropped since your last test I would be concerned about retained matter. The only thing I can suggest if your hospital won't give you a scan is getting another blood test, or even just doing a super sensitive HPT to see if you're still getting a BFP.

I am shocked that they wouldn't at least try to get you in for an u/s. I have no other helpful advice, unfortunately, but please accept my sympathy. Miscarriages are horrible; not knowing when or if the damn things have finished just rubs salt into the wounds.

I'd go and see my dr as soon as it was possible. Or you could ring nurse on call, they're not only for babies. 4 weeks of bleeding is a lot.

it could be af - it sounds a lot like wat happened to me when i m/c. i bled and then it went to spotting so thought it was stopping....then a couple days later it got heavy and only lasted 4-5 days, so i guessed it was af, 4 weeks later af appeared on time so that is what i assumed.

also with my chemical pregnancy my levels were 10 and i was bleeding

hope it helps a lil sweety

I got AF when my levels were still somewhere between 27 and 11. It was heavy and a really deep bloody kind of red, and really painful. It was 27 days after I had a d & c. I bled for 11 days after the d & c, but pretty light stuff.

I had some bright red bleeding after just brown spotting for a week or so, I was hoping it was AF but it turned out that I'd ruptured the uterine lining by doing too much exercise, it stopped after a day or two though. It sucks hun, hope your doing ok xo

Sorry to hear the you are still bleeding Mum2Ramone, must be making it very difficult for you.

I haven't had first hand experience of what you are going through when I had my miscarriage I had a D&C as my body wasn't miscarrying. I do know that my girlfriend who miscarried naturally had to go in and have a D&C done as I think there was some retained product as she was still bleeding quite heavily.

I do think you should try and see a Dr just to make sure.

    Thinking of you.
