PP I am so so sorry today didn't bring the news we were all hoping it would. If you don't mind me saying I don't get why they are waiting until Wednesday. Every day your pregnancy is progressing the higher chance of rupture and the higher chance methotrexate will not work. Methotrexate doesn't have a good success rate after HCG is above 4000 which by Wednesday it will be. I just feel its really negligent on their behalf. Thinking of you xx

You and me both hun. I really think it was negligent too. If I do need surgery I will be going down the legal path....

Oh Pixie, I am really sorry to read this update. Thinking of you xx

I cannot believe they are making you wait until Wednesday either, if they saw something out of the uterus you would think they would act ASAP. I hope the next few days are drama free for you and your family. You will be in my thoughts x

I'm so sorry PP - I hope they get themselves out on Wednesday and finally take action. The hospital are putting your health in great danger by mucking around like this.

I hope you get some peace soon xxx

I dont blame you and would strongly recommend atleast a nasty complaint letter at the very least. I know the outcome for this pregnancy isn't going to change but I just hate the risk they have put you in physically when it could have been different. Methotrexate isn't without risks and certainly isn't something everyone would consent to use but if given early will not have much baring on future fertility which IMO regardless if you want to ttc again in the future is very important to try and maintain.

Re: How long after a loss?

I think that they just want to check that there will be no chance uterine pregnancy before they give it to me and because my hcgs are still rising appropriately I think they are covering their butts (apparently my health doesn't matter when it comes to legalities) they did say the "mass" was very tiny. (I think they said it was 2cm by 11mm I can't quite remember the dimensions) and one of the drs said methotrexate can be used up till 9000 hcgs level. My mum walked out on that Dr and I asked for another consultant. Which I seen and he agreed if I have an empty uterus still on Wednesday regardless of hcgs he will be happy to give methotrexate.

I just don't understand if they are so sure that it's ectopic and no viable pregnancy will eventuate, why they couldn't give me the injection, because I do agree 2 days won't change much apart from increasing the chances of me needing surgery. :-$
