    Unhappy I"ve had enough!

So, My baby stopped growing and I had to have a D&C. I was given antibiotics to take afterwards but a month later I woke up in pain, by the end of the day I couldnt stand up straight and went to dr, had alot of tests done and she said I had fluid in my pelvic cavity and put me on IV for 3 days, then another 3 more days. We went back for a re-check and she said there is still some tissue left over and to take these pills, got home to find they are medical abortion pills- (dont know why but found it hard to get my head around taking them) but take them I did- per instructions, only, it didnt work. so tomorrow after we go back to see her again. This has turned into a rather awful ordeal really and I just want it to be over. Im scared of having to have another D&C. Has anybody heard of this happening before? I am hoping for a happy ending. I really wanted another baby but this whole thing is putting me off wanting to try again and I know every operation damages you so im doubley scaredy cat here. Would like thoughts and opinions and any tips you have to share. Thanks

    Hi there,
first sending some hugs as having this go on for so long must be a constant reminder of what you have lost.
I see you are in china. sounds like they have a different protocol over there than they do here. Antibiotics are not a standard treatment after d&C over here (I don't think so anyway). I am not sure how effective the drug they gave you is but I suspect you are going to need a d & c. I know when I had a d&C as I had some tissue left, my FS said she would just touch the area where the tissue was and not do a full d&C so that there would be less chance of damage. I hope they look after you.

    Thumbs up Finished

So I had another d&c but she put a camera inside so she could see where the extra tissue was- only to find that there wasnt any (sigh) so that was wasted $ and procedure. Had another 3 days on IV but now should be all good. I think because of the conditions here- unsafe tap water etc they prescribe antibiotics afterwards- just to be safe.
Thanks for the support everybody, it has been really appreciated

I had to have two D&C with my first loss. I had retained products and i had to battle with my OB for weeks. He said that my bleeding was emotions WTF? I had the 2nd D&C and yes he found the retained products! Idiot!

Anyway the better news for you is i was so worried about the 2nd D&C and what ever else the old OB may have done i made an appoint ment with a new OB a few weeks later. She decided to do an US after hearing our story and guess what my lovely DD2 was there! 5 weeks and going strong. So i guess my point is that yes there is a lovely chance that all will go smoothly for you now. However the hardest part for you will be getting through the next pregnany! It is a struggle to stay positive. But thats what BB is great for so make sure you vent as much as you need toO!

Doubletrouble - what a horrible thing to go through And then for it to have just been a waste of time and money
Where abouts are you at the moment? Just curious. Won't be long and you'll be home in Australia
