    Miscarriage bleeding really light

    Hi Ladies,

I unfortunately had a miscarriage but I am scared that I am not passing everything. I was told last tuesday that they could see nothing on the ultrasound. I only had barely spotting until Sunday morning when I had the (sorry for TMI) sac come out. The bleeding has been barely more than spotting since, does this seem normal? I keep expecting a significant amount of blood but it is only worth a pantyliner not a pad.

Should I go back to the GP? I just feel like it's not all ok as I also feel nauseas still as well.

I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I'd go back to your Dr if your worried. A rising HCG level would indicate something is still growing (weather thats bub or just some placental tissue) Is your bleeding lighter then a period? And with more physical pain? How far along were you at the scan? I had very light bleeding (it was pink and mucousy) and nothing could be seen on my scan at 5.5weeks. They said it was a complete miscarriage and the bleeding was light due to the early gestation. They said I'd passed everything but almost a month later it was confirmed my pregnancy was ectopic and all I'd passed was some uterine lining. I'm sure its ok but I'd still get checked out incase there is something left behind or your pregnancy is progressing normally just the scan was done to early. Thinking of you

So sorry for your loss If you feel at all like something is not right - I'd go to the doctor again. From what I understand, every woman has a different experience (I bled very heavily for weeks for example) but it's worth getting checked up.

Thankyou ladies for responding, I appreciate all your responses and wishes towards my lost LO.

I did go to the hospital last Tuesday because I had terrible pain in my lower abdomen, back and hips. They did a HCG while I was there and it was only 284 and the follow up one on Thursday only 107 so it was dropping fast. The hospital experience was horrible horrible horrible and the doctor who told me I had miscarried couldn't answer any of my questions I asked him, just stared at me dumbly. Mildez I was 5weeks 4 days. I am in no physical pain beside a few niggly cramps in the back.

I might leave it another day or 2 and see if it gets a bit heavier.

Thank Goodness for BB, I would be so lost without you ladies

Firstly im so sorry again for the loss of bubby bubbaT...

Miscarriages are different for different couples.

If you feel something isnt right, then I would advise to go back to your GP. But if the sac has already gone, then thats the majority of the bleeding.

If you go in for a D&C they can scrape it all out making sure you dont miss anything and allowing you to start straight after your next natural period. You are even more fertile after a D&C also.

Good luck in what ever you decide to do my love xoxox thinking of you <3
