Final, I hope, update.
After a week of bloodstained.... goopiness.... I woke up this morning to find the most disgusting thing ever in my undies. And bear in mind that I've had 1 childbirth, 2 miscarriages and innumerable heavy horrible periods; I know disgusting. My first thought was "I gave birth to a slug?!?"
But that appears to have been it! The end! The terminus! Oh THANK GOD.
My OB, who has to be the best woman in the business, rang me again today to check. She was pleased to hear of the slug but cautioned me that if this isn't the end- ie, if I have any bleeding between now and Monday- I will have a D&C Tuesday. And another reason I love this woman; she continued with "If, God forbid, you find yourself in this position again, we are going straight for the curette." Huzzah.
Thank you all again for your support. May this truly be the end, and I can start posting in the TTC after Miscarriage thread soon.
And mum2Romone, I am thinking of you and hoping that you find a resolution soon.
(oh; my best friend had her gorgeous baby on Tuesday. I am pleased to find that I am nothing but pleased, if that makes sense. Just thrilled that there is at least one beautiful adored baby in the world, even if there should have been two.)

Hi Kirsten.

Just wanted to let you know that there is still hope, don't give up.

I myself have lost 6 babies all before 8wks, and have a DS who is almost 2. I'm currently 14wks with pregnancy #8, and it looks like it's staying sticky.

Don't give up trying, because you WILL get to hold that baby in your arms even if it wasn't the right time for it to happen now.
