Well, after working out yesterday that AF was starting up again for me, she's really kicking me in the guts today. I feel like I'm in labour again (yay me) and I'm passing quite large clots, which isn't normal for my usual AF - although they're usually very irregular, they're only a few days long with low to mid-range blood flow. This time though, LOTS of blood, quite dark, with these clots. I was in the shower when I passed the biggest one about half an hour ago - it came out into my hand (here's the TMI, btw) and it was kinda hard, not soft and mucousy like a normal blood clot would be.
I'm probably being really paranoid and alarmist, but my silly head's saying "what if I was pregnant again and I've miscarried?" *sigh*... I even apologised to it "just in case" as I put it down the plughole Oh, I'm mental, it's probably normal after loss/birth and you're all laughing at me
Nobody is laughing hun. I think if you're worried and you have a feeling its not right, get yourself checked out. I see it's been about 9wks since you had Ianto. Did the bleeding stop in between or has it been constant for 9wks? If you've been bleeding for that long, I think I would definately go to the doc.

It stopped after about two(ish) weeks. It just came back yesterday and the pain's killing me
I'm happy for it to be back, since now it means the doctor can't tell me I can't TTC (I was anyway but now he won't tell me off ) but I'm cramping something horrid - it seriously feels like I'm in labour again, even after I've taken both nurofen and panadol!
PS - nothing to do with my post, but the emoticon list on the side is missing... O.o
I'd get checked out. You could have an infection or some of the placenta that remains. If it is that painful you really should have it checked out. Good luck hun.
Teni- if you think its not normal, then get it checked out, in saying that though, usually the first couple of AFs after having a baby can be pretty dramatic, I know mine were, I felt like I was in labour again and felt absolutely rotten, also passed lots of biggish clots.
But everyone is different, so if in doubt, check it out. Hugs hun. xx
I wouldn't be too worried if it wasn't for the hardish clot in the shower... I'll keep an eye on it and maybe go to the GP if it's the same a little later...
ETA: Just to clarify for anyone who just read that how I read it back after a couple of minutes - I put the clot down the plughole, I'm not keeping an eye on THAT!

: Just being silly ;)
Oh darl no one is laughing at you hun, please go and get it checked out sounds like it is very unusual for you and after everything you have been through i understand your concerns and think it would be best for your own piece of mind to know what's going on.
I'd get checked out for sure if you are in that much pain. Plus I'd be concerned about firm clots too. Could just be tissue fibres and completely normal, but I understand your concern. Is probably nothing - just your body readjusting, getting back to normal etc, but always good to get that professional opinion.
