So I have been miscarrying since Tuesday and am happy to let my body do what it needs to do on it's own. Things have been coming and going - I'll have half a day of nothing then cramps and bleeding for a while. Nothing I can't handle anyway.
Today I have felt the worst yet, bad enough pain that I couldn't stand up straight plus my back hurt. So I jumped in the shower. I passed a large clot, I guess about the size of a golf ball with lots of little clots. Clots aren't new but I was a bit shocked at the bigger one, could feel it coming out.
After the pain started to subside I got out of the shower. Needed to use the loo and while I did I passed another large clot. I didn't look but it felt the same as the first one.
Right now I have no pain or dizziness, I don't feel unwell. None of the things my GP and the ED told me to seek help for. Again, I'm happy to stay home where I'm comfy but am wondering if the large clots are considered normal? I don't want to go back to ED but if I should, I will. Been to the loo a couple of times since with no clots.
I'm so sorry you are going through this, I really am. Mother Nature is just a cruel piece of work sometimes.
I remember with my m/c I passed a few clots as well but that was before my D&C. After the D&C I had nothing. Going by from what I went through, I would be guessing that it is normal. But if you started to run a temp, got really dizzy, unwell or became in a lot of pain I would definitely get it checked out.
I was going to say good luck, but that seems kinda stupid.........
I'm thinking of you & wishing you weren't going through this.
if the bleeding isnt exessive hun i wouldnt panic too much.
FWIW i passed a clot the size of my hand when i was misscarrying. and shortly after the bleeding eased right off
its very scary stuff. bug hugs

TMI alert in case you may feel saddened by miscarriage info
I'm sorry to hear you have to go through this, its so so awful.
I miscarried on new years day and your story sounds very similar. I had bleeding through the day and passed a large clot and then began to feel better after that. I'm sure that was the end of my miscarriage as it seemed like the sac that i had passed. i Had a few smaller clots after that and went to the ED and i think it was all over by then anyway. They confirmed it was "pregnancy tissue".
Have since had only spotting for a few days after and felt physicallly ok by the end of the next week
big hugs to you

My miscarriage something similar happened also, I had excessive amounts of blood. To the point it was running down my legs as the pads couldn't keep up
I had a lot of pain, then a massive clot came out. This clot looked like.. more than just a clot, iykwim. I know what it was...
After that the bleeding seemed to settle down, and the pain definitely subsided.
However - I went to the ED the following day and the dr did an internal, the amount of... stuff, that he pulled out was incredible. I was really surprised there was still so much in there.. They then did an ultrasound to make sure I had a complete miscarriage, as if I didn't, I would have had to have the D&C.
I guess what I'm saying is, make sure you know the miscarriage is complete. You don't want to end up sick.
Hope you're feeling well
Cheezel- I am sorry you are going through this as I am going through the same thing. It sucks not knowing what is normal and being scared on top of losing a baby. I also was wondering the same question. I passed clots and am still bleeding. I am working on day 9 or bleeding but it is starting to taper off...I just feel like something was ripped from me without my choice. Just know I am thinking of you and hope you are finding peace.
Thank you all for your replies. As some of you have experienced, the pain definitely stopped after the clots thankfully. Geez it was awful
But after a day of very little bleeding it's started up again. It's hard to tell exactly how much but everytime I go to the loo it's all coming out, very dark and lots of it.
Otherwise I'm fine, just a bit dizzy and tired. But I saw my GP today and he's sending me for a scan Thursday.
i hope you are feeling better, as best you can i guess.
I hope you have miscarried naturally and don't have to have surgery and can begin the path to recovery.
In my thoughts
