    Question Sands

How many of you are members of a local SANDS group? I didn't even know we had a local group until I went to a memorial service for all babies who have died last year and after that I joined up and really look forward to each meeting. I wrote to the SANDS website and mentioned to them that they need more info on local groups so people who are in need of support can find their local group more easily.

I'm hoping to join one myself, but I've no idea how aside from calling them for the information. It would be so much easier if they put it online, I wonder why they don't?

I used to be a member in Brisbane. I found their newsletter to be really comforting, it has contributions from other families who have lost babies and heaps of useful reading about grief etc. They also had a really good library.

It was the hospital where I had my angel who told me about them.

I am hoping since my contact with them that they will include more local groups for people to have more acces to them.

Never been to any of their meetings but through the bereavement service here in Geelong I was receiving pamphlets from Sands and it was in one of those pamphlets that BB was advertised, so I have a lot to thank them for.
