Advice Needed: My toddler is afraid to wee in the potty.

    Thanks for viewing this topic.

My question is: How do I reassure my DD that it's OK to wee in the potty? She happily does poos in it.

Bit of background: my DD is 2y 3 1/2 months old. We started toilet training this week. I understand that these things take time, but I don't want her to be scared of weeing in the potty.

    Please help me. [-o<

What method did you use to get her to do poo in the potty? Just persist with sitting her on it and she will eventually get the idea. Remember to be gentle about it though.
Mason was doing poo on the toilet for ages before he would do wees.

Can you figure out what it is that makes her scared? Maybe it is the noise - if so you could line the potty with paper towel?

    Problem Solved!

I think the problem was how the wee came out. I told her to close her legs (as all ladies should) and that has fixed the problem.

I am very proud of My Little Miss, all day today she told us when she needed to go to the toilet and we had no accidents. \/

Thank you for your advice, it made it all seem possible.
