DD will be 3 next week and she still wears nappies.
DH & I both work full-time and find it hard to have the time to dedicate ourselves to toilet training her. I did try between Christmas & New Year but I just didn't have the patience for it.
She sometimes asks to go to the toilet, but it's usually only AFTER she's already done it in her nappy, or if she actually needs to go, she asks to go to the toilet, but doesn't actually do anything on the toilet, gets scared, asks for a nappy or pull-up on again and then does what she needs to do.
I feel like I'm doing the wrong thing by not already having her toilet trained, especially because all of my friends who have kids who are younger than her are already toilet trained...not sure if that's just because they have older siblings or not?
DD is an only child, would that also make her take longer to be ready?
