I only use disposables overnight and when out and about. I mostly use the Nature Care ones which I think are terrific and also the ecobots now my DD is getting bigger. I have used Huggies (when the enviro ones weren't available) and they were really good I must admit but it's the whole waste issue........the eco ones might cost a little more but as I don't use a lot I guess it makes it affordable for us

I was in a new health food store today and saw this new brand of 'sposies.... can't remember what they are called... but they are bleach free and kinda the colour of brown paper. Kids were being silly so i had to leave before checking them out.... anyone know what they could be? I'll have a closer look next time.

I used to use snugglers for day and Huggies for night. But when huggies changed designs, I found they leaked overnight on my oldest and gedtting very close to doing the same with my youngest. I tried a brand called "Bear" or something. From a nappy wholesaler. He said they were "as good as huggies". Well phooey to him. They leaked so bad I had to put inserts in to absorb extra! So when Babylove went on special, I grabbed a couple of big bags and they seem to work REALLY well for my oldest DD (using up the huggies on the younger one as she leaks less often). I have tried the mamia ones (well pull up mamias) and they didn't hold much at all for DD (who is on the verge of TT and holds for hrs and hrs and then does HUGE pees) and we often found we'd change DD, go out and she'd be soaked thru within a couple of hrs. So we've decided we'll stick to snugglers (yes they are not the best, but they do ok for day time when the bubs get changed regularly) and babylove. I've even told Dh I want to use BabyLove newborns on this bub to be because I no longer wanna support Huggies since they don't absorb enough....

Have had very little trouble with Babylove here, they seem to be the best fit for Maggie and like Danni we go to Big W for them, hard to beat there price. The You love Coles seem like Babylove to me, so I wil get them if they are equivalent in price to the Babylove Big W price per nappy. The Aldi nappies are not too bad and certainly good to grab when you need nappies and only have $15 dollars, bulk price in a smaller quantity.

Really wish they would put price per nappy on the shelf, it would make it so much easier to decide what pack to get on the day.

Astrid: When you do Coles Online they do 'price per unit' so that you can compare products that way... I wonder if it applies to nappies? That would be great huh? Otherwise just get out the calculator. I'm trying to move away from Coles though... I'm finding their range of products just keeps shrinking and shrinking.

    Sorry, OT:

That's really interesting because I find that with Safeway, especially now since they have statewide (I think its state, either than or national) ordering, so the local store can't/won't order something in specially for you, where Coles still do this sort of thing.

I don't bother with ordering stuff in... I'm not that organised I guess... I just like to see more than big multi-national brands on offer. The way the big chain supermarkets are going soon all they will have will be products from Kimberly Clarke, Schwepps, Johnson and Johnson, Nestle, Heinz, Arnotts etc... no more more local cottage industry products. I find that at least my local IGA still stocks products from smaller companies so I am shopping there more often... and ever since I've been on BB I'm learning about really good products made in Oz that you can only order online so I think that might be the way of the future for me. Sorry to hijack the thread....

Wow, I have actually been finding this with our local Woolworths - VERY annoying I tell you! As soon as I find a product I like, it seems to dissapear off the shelves forever!!

I put Jesse in Coles baby nappy last night.. woke up to him moaning quite loud.. went in and he was absolutely covered in wee! He was litterally soaked. He has never been that wet from a nappy! So i think ill use out the packet during the day but go to huggies or something else over night.

Ok so theres a question for you.. Jesse wee's ALOT over night. Most mornings his clothes are wet a little bit. He is in Huggies Walker size! So going up a size to Junior i dont think will really work. Does anyone know of a really good long absorbant nappy for over night use?

We've never had a leak from an Aldi nappy... but I think DS saves up his wee for after he gets up.

ETA: Like my older Ds my baby is now starting to avoid doing poos when we are away from home (shopping etc) this has been wonderful until we went away over the weekend recently and he didn't do a poo for 3 days! Highly unlike him, poor little mite... obviously kept hoping we'd return home so he could relieve himself!

Hi, Although I'm a clothy girl at heart, I do love Huggies, however they are the most expensive, I took the survey to mean normal sales price, not specials, so for that reason I couldn't vote for them.
I detest the coles brand, Nathan is a big wetter and I find that these nappies seep, smell bad and have caused him some horrific nappy rash.
I like the Woolies select brand, I also use the select wipes religiously.
But My favourite and best ever value is ALDI Mammia. DD4 is wearing their pull ups to bed and DS is wearing the 7-16kg Large ones. Excellent, super absorbant no rash, stays dry, comparable to Huggies but alot cheaper.
    Cheers Dee
