Are Mamia shaped around the legs? And do they do up as easy as the Huggies?
Last time i bought them they werent and it was hard getting them to sit right.

Well I'm going against the grain here - I'm a snugglers girl. Had Huggies as a newborn because they were given to me and then used cloth for quite some time with the occasional disposable here and there. Once I went back to work, I went back to the disposables and used Snugglers and trialed a couple of others. Since toilet training, we've started using Baby Love pull-ups which are ok do find them to leak quite a bit, but I might go check out the ALDI Mammia brand. I found Huggies to leak more than Snugglers with my DD and always got that gel stuff all over her bottom with Huggies. They've come out with so many fantastic looking cloth nappies these days, I think I'll go back to that with further kids we have.

Huggies without a doubt. Don't have an Aldi where I live, so can't even comment on that.

Have used BabyLove and some other brands and when you consider the amount of washing I was doing because they NEVER absorbed anything, the Huggies - even though they cost more initially - are saving me washing bills. DS never has a wet back or anything when using Huggies.

How things have changed between my children!

With my older two, I did old fashioned cloth (terry flats with nappy pins) but used sposies at night.

By far the best value for money back then was snugglers, but that was back when most sposies were plastic, and only huggies had started the paper trend. Snugglers were awesome, and I bought baby love as the 'treat' ones, they were better, but more expensive. Baby love was still the cheapest at Big W 8 years ago lol.

I haven't used snugglers this baby, but heard they are awful and not to waste my money. I am not clothing this baby either as yet, our laundry is outside and quite a walk and also DP won't agree to MCNs as he is the washer. And I agree while we are living here, it would be a pain in the bum.

Anyway, I use baby love in the day time and huggies at night. Baby love are nothing on huggies, but I do find both leak. My bub has very explosive poos, especially last week when he was on antibiotics and they come straight out the top or the sides. With baby love, I need to change him lots more, but huggies can do a 5-8 shift at night with no worries for him. Huggies really are good, I could never afford them with other babies, but on special, they seem to be quite reasonable. We only buy them on special and Leo is now in the 6-11 kg size (the 4-8kg was too small and leaked).

    We love Snugglers here!

Maybe it's a girl thing, but we never have leaks and you wouldn't even know she had a nappy on because they're so thin. She only goes through between 4 and 6 a day.

We found it hard to tell when she had done a poo when wearing Huggies because they are that bit thicker (Hides the smell) and they seem more constricting than Snuggs. Most of my friends use them for their bubs' though. Way overpriced IMO.

ok, since posting earlier this year we have tried a few more brands. We tried the woolies no name brand and I quite like them. Don't go the woolies select. To me they don't fit right and hold nextto nothing. I also tried the you'll love coles night time nappies which were great and even the you'll love coles day time are ok. It depends which are on special or cheapest. When none of our faves are on special we go the woolies homebrand ones as they are $20 per box reg price and they are pretty good. I really wanna try the mamia brand but haven't gotten around to buying any of the reg nappies...

I was using Babylove and found that the lil absorbing gels were all over him regardless of how often i changed him. I went back to huggies ( haven't tried any other brand) coz babylove gave him TERRIBLE nappyrash. As soon as the switch back was made, the rash cleared.

Having not used nappies in quite some time I really have no idea...I do like huggies brand but they are expensive so I am going to try the woolies select brand for the new baby once a bit bigger I am using cloth nappies....

A friend has recommended Select to me so I am willing to try and for 54 nappies for $5.98 not losing out much.

I am now onto MCN's and don't use sposies much, but I keep some on hand jic. I use the mamia Aldi brand & love them. A month ago I bought some huggies to keep on hand & every single one of them leaked... so back to the Aldi brand.

Aldi Mammia nappies all the way here! I just wish I'd found them earlier.

I was at Coles the other day and needed to get a small pack just to get DD through till our next grocery shop at Aldi so I grabbed a pack of Baby Love - OMG they were horrendous!! They stunk and became really saggy when wet, I couldn't believe how quickly they soaked through.

DD is starting to toilet train and stays drier a lot longer now so she was generally only using one nappy before her sleep in the morning, one for her nap and then depending on how she wakes up, another for the afternoon. The Mammia nappies have never leaked and we've never had issues with nappy rash etc.

The training pants are fantastic too - I was using them for a while but the packs are smaller and I was finding I was running out too quickly. As we are toilet training and going back to cloth for the new bub, I want to buy less sposies, not more otherwise I would have kept buying these.

My opinion .... I consider value for money = low cost & works well. So I would have to say NEW SNUGGLERS.

Work it out as price / nappy & compare same size in diff brands. I did this & found New Snugglers & Kmart nappies to be the cheapest & they work.

New Snugglers pkt/box says better leakage protection, the Old Snugglers pkt/box says grip tabs but doesnt say better leakage protection, the old ones were absolute crap. I only tried the new ones after a girlfriend said they've improved & work similar to Huggies. They've even improved the new Snugglers a few times since I started using them, they have elasticised waist bands just like Huggies now too.

I find Huggies work well but are waaayyyyy too expensive, even when they're on sale (>30c/nappy).

I've also used Aldi newborn nappies & hated them but haven't tried the other sizes. They're not the cheapest either, snugglers are cheaper & work great, even for 12hr sleeps at night.

I've never tried Coles & Woollies nappies as they too are too expensive per nappy.

I've used Kmart brand nappies too, I would get snugglers or kmart brand depending on whatever's on sale. Lately Coles or Woollies have had half price sales on Snugglers so i stock up big time then.

Not too keen on BabyLove nappies & they too aren't cheap, they use all sorts of nappies at the childcare centre & I noticed these leave little crystals behind.

For Bodhi i use huggies & cloth. But for Mya they always leaked. Snugglers were great for her. Now that she is pretty much toilet trained(except for night time & poo's) i usually just stick one of Bodhi's nappies on her......he's a big boy & they wear the same size!
I have tried babylove numerous times & always wish i hadnt bought them.
Aldi ones have also been good, i just never get around to getting there.
