cloth nappies HELP!!

hi i am looking for a nappie that is not bulkie and will be able to hold trough the night for a baby as well as for an toddler. can anyone help, i have the BBH nappies aswell as the MD napies i like the MD nappies for they are very trim but they do not really work for my baby for she is a hevvy wetter. can anyone help?

The bamboo BBH + a booster are great for overnight. Do you find them too bulky?

hi well i have the BBH all in ones and i find them way to bulky and does not absorb allot off urine even if i boost it. is the bamboo BBH better than the all in one's one and are they slimmer than the Magic all in ones BBH?

The BBB (bamboo) or BBH (hemp) will both be better over night than an AIO. Really for overnight you want a fitted nappy and cover.

Some other good ones are the wildchild and the GNST (good night sleep tight) althought the GNST isn't exactly trim :-)

Most people find the Magicalls only last a couple of hours, I would definitely not be using one overnight. They are trim, but best for daytime use.

Most nappies that will last the distance overnight will be bulky. As Saram said, a fitted with a cover is your best bet. I use a bamboo BBH with a PUL cover and that works well for us. Bamboo is more absorbent than hemp, so probably better for overnight.

we used a baby beehinds bamboo fitted with malden mills cover, as a night nappy when our baby was small.

around four months old, she definately needed proper night nappies.

the baby beehind nappies you mention are sold as day nappies, so i think you'd have to have a very light wetting toddler, to have them work for you at night.

Magicalls have microfibre in them for absorbency
the baby beehind hemp fitteds have hemp for absorbency
the baby beehind bamboo fitteds have bamboo for absorbency
They're all really quite different cos they're made from different fabrics. The baby beehinds website is very good on product information.

i think there's a good reason for dedicated night nappies, it's a long time (and many wees) for a nappy to absorb. So night nappies, to cope with this, HAVE to be bulky because they need many more layers of absorbent material to be able to cope with the task.

night nappies i can think of:

catnaps honeyboy night nappy (fitted aplix closing)
cherubs kiss honeyboy night nappy (fitted with aplix closing)
snoozywuns night nappy (AIO with aplix closing)
sugarpeas (A12) side snapping
whizz kidz nightz (fitted OSFA)

bits for bots MM fleece pockets or AIO - aplix and snaps versions
Wriggleybumz Night nappy
wild child night nappies (front snapping sized fitteds)
Very Baby Simply Nights (not sure, but they might be snaps AND aplix, fitteds)
abby groables night nappies by cuddles n cloth

for night covers -
you can use wool - if you're ok with handwashing and lanolising,
(soakers, shorties, longies)

you can use fleece - machine wash and quick to dry
malden mills fleece covers i am so impressed with e.g sugarpeas, staccinator, bear bottoms, swaddlebees
Flongies are great too, pretend pj pants and nappy cover all in one.

we don't use PUL at night, it doesn't breathe as well as wool or fleece do, but that is personal preference (and sometimes also about your climate).
