I would like to purchase a couple of these for the coming summer months, but have no idea where to start! If anyone could recommend some good brands and where to get them I would be very grateful. TIA
Havent tried the swimming ones but eenees have swimming nappies which you can use with a disposable pad or a cloth insert. Have tried other eenees nappies and found them to be really good.
We ended up just grabbing some at the Cancer Council shop. You don't need anything fancy.. just something good enough to catch any poo! You don't need anything absorbent either.. it's only going to fill up with pool water. I guess it's handy to have a bit of absorbency for whilst you're waiting to get in the pool lol - i've been peed on a couple of times!! but really.. it's just something to catch poo that you need.
I did order another swim nappy from somewhere, but haven't used it yet coz it was too big for him. Will probably dig it out this summer. (can't remember what it's called).. I've also got a pair from motherease.
I got a pair from KMart that look like they will catch the poo! I hope so anyway - will let you know once we actually finally get to the pool once we are all better!!
Have you decided where you will go for lessons?!
Monkey Doodlez have swim nappies....i gave them a shot just in the bath tub when our stock arrived for the shop. Granted Chelsea never done a poo in them, they seem to work well.
We haven't decided where to go yet, probably to a family friend who does lessons in Mitcham. All of nieces and nephews have gone there, and they loved it. I mostly want the cloth swimming nappies because we have a pool, so I'm hoping to get him in it on the hot days!
the smaller places seem to be much better than the larger ones!!
sophie did her first ever poo during lessons last week!! messy stuff, but not bad considering we've been going to the pool for 6 months
p.s i have your stuff too, will have to drop over!!
dont you laugh miss sarah!!!! beleive me its hard to pull off pants with mushy wet poo inside and she'd had kiwi fruit to the little seeds came out as well!!! messy stuff
Sez, I recommend Emma's Babyswim out of Ringwood Aquatic Centre, or Babyswim Australia (the parent business) in Blackburn BA is great, it's her life's research so baby swimming is her specialty, not like the big pools where baby classes seem to be an afterthought and don't have nearly as much detail to their lesson plans and goals.
Floaties Aquanappies catch EVERYTHING! Trust me, we've tested this theory
