cloth training pants.

Hi,
I found a sight selling training pant that were cloth, and I bought one to see what they were like.

Anyone used these before and can give me some feed back?

I'm hoping they give an undies feeling, but with more absorbancy and might be cheaper than pull ups, might be good for trips out of the house while toilet training??

Just subscribing as I would be very interrested to find about cloth absorbent training pants. We are still very much "training" so would need ones that are as absorbent as a nappy so to speak.

I wish these were available! DD is fully TT, but not dry at night. I'm about to buy absorbent pads to put under her in bed because she hates wearing the night time disposable pants, 'they aren't comfortable'. So I guess I'm not after training pants as such, more night time 'nappies' for an older child.

I was wondering this the other day. I did find some slightly dodgy ones at Kmart but they aren't very absorbent. Maybe that is the point though? Would be interested if anyone had tried them and had some feedback.

Hi guys,
I've done the cloth nappy thing, so have gone onto the cloth training pants things.
you can get cheap ones at Best & Less - not very absorbent but will catch a couple of drips - good for day time.
I've bought a range of different ones to try from the Cloth Nappy websites - google it & you should find stuff. You can get some that are "stuffable" so you can add absorbency for night time - I think Happy Heinys are the brand that does this.
I also have some Blueberry training pants, Imse Vimse, Bongo Baby (organic ones), and MotherEase (I think). Most of these have a PUL/waterproof layer so they won't leak.
Check the description details in a particular pair you're interested in or contact the nappy seller for more info on how much liquid they'd hold. One pair (Tots Bots) I tried for a daytime nap (we're still in very early stages of toilet training) couldn't cope with that but would be ok for daytime out & about.
So you can definitely get what you're thinking about - just search for cloth nappy sellers. There are heaps. I've bought from Darlings Downunder, Cotton Bottom, Nurture Nappies - I've been buying whatever's on sale.

I highly recommend the starbunz super undies They're great cause the child can pull them up and down like normal undies. I do find the sizing to be a bit small though...

We have the snap version which has a pocket for insert if needed but there's a new type without snaps too. We use them overnight with an absorbent insert

the one I bought, sorry not sure what brand, would only be good for a trickle and run to the loo, DS had wet through his clothes in no time, and didn't give a toss, we might be able to use them a little later, but he's really not ready. I like the idea of the stuffable ones, because even if he doesn't show interest on tt for a while longer, he rarely poo's at night, and I think even me, extreemly lazy as I am, can handle wee, and it might save dollars & the environment a little.
