DS said this morning "Go shopping?" (I'm training him to enjoy shopping for his future partner's sake ) and I explained "no, Mummy has to go to work today so you're going to childcare" and he was not pleased with this answer. We brushed teeth etc and I went to grab our bags and he says "do poos"

I put him on the loo and he demands a book, to which I say no, just do what you have to. Nothing. Go to put his nappy back on, he says "do poos", back onto the loo again, nothing. Repeat, then I just re-nappy him and carry him out of the house. He didn't need to go 'cause he poo'ed at about 4pm.

I don't want to doubt him, so I kept putting him on. He hasn't been telling me if he needs to pee and very occasionally only if he needs to poo.

Do you reckon I should just give him the one benefit of the doubt before going so as to not encourage his delaying tactic?

ETA: DS just reminded me of the other thing he was doing this morning - earlier in the morning I left him on the loo while I grabed my brush from around the corner & when I came back (4 seconds later) he had his foot IN the loo and then put the other foot in. I grabbed him and chucked him in the bath (fun for DS). Just now I could hear him calling me and I go into the ensuite, and there he is with a foot in the loo again. How do I stop this?
