Does this mean she's actually starting to understand?
For the first time every, DD who is 21 months recognised she had a dirty nappy. She'd just done a poo and I said "have you done a poo" and she responded "yes" so then I asked if she wanted mummy to change her nappy and she said "yes"
She's never responded properly like that before. Normally she would either not say anything or she would say no, even though she did have a dirty nappy.
Does this mean she's starting to understand when she's done a poo and that she might be ready to start TT very soon?
yes she is recognising that she has DONE it,the thing with TT is they need to know when its ABOUT to happen..
DD is a realy obvious pooer so for months when we see her doing one we ask... are you doing a poo? most of the time she says yes but often will say no too..
DD now says i need to wee(she is 12ish months older then your dd) Some of the time.. we have olny JUST started the TT process as i wanted her to have a more physical concept of wees and poos.
Thanks Doudou. I might just monitor it and see how she goes. I guess it's a good start that she knows when she'd DONE something, just have to get to the knowing when she's about to do something. Was hoping to TT while I'm on holidays over the new year but I think it's still a little too soon. Maybe this time next year
