I thought I had written a thread on DS and his toilet training but I cant find it

Anyway...

At about 18 months DS was almost completely toilet trained. Then out o the blue, for seemingly no reason at all he decided he didnt want to sit on the potty anymore. We just went with it thinkung he'd pick it up again in a little while.

A couple of months ago he was showing interest again and I managed to get him to sit on the toilet with a step/seat thing after bribing him with a tiny piece of chocolate (*hide* I know, I know). He was doing really well. I gently weaned him off the rewards and he kept going for a couple more weeks, although he still refused to sit on any toilet other than ours. Again, just went with the flow. All seemed fine. And again out of the blue, for seemingly no reason at all, a few weeks ago, he decided he doesnt want to sit on the toilet or the potty. He just wees straight on the floor without a care and will happily help clean it up.



Why!?!?!

Is this normal for him to just change his mind and I need to just keep going with the flow?
I KNOW he an do it, he just doesnt want to.
The big boy argument doesnt work, he says he wants to be a "little boy".


*sigh* I know he wont be in nappies forever but its more than a little frustrating to get so close and have him change his mind again.
