Congratulations Oscar
You are doing the right thing by keeping it low pressure. Hopefully he will start to let you know, but expect a few slip ups.
Oscar did his first wee in his potty today and i was so proud. Only thing is i don't really know where to go from here. I have read all the info on 'how to tt' but still feel abit scared that i'm going to try and do it all wrong and mess him up for ages.
He'd been leaking after getting up each morning as his nappy was full after the night then he did his first mornign wee before we'd get chance so change his nappy (usually within 5 mins of getting up) - so i thought we'd try and put him on the potty while he drunk his milk and bingo! We were both so proud and heaped on the praise. I asked him if he wanted to wear big-boy pants like mummy and daddy and use the potty or toilet and he said yes - so i've had him in the huggies training nappies all day but each time i asked him if he wanted to wee in the potty he said no like he was really annoyed. i thought as they had the wetness liner that he would feel uncomfy once he's peed in them but no.
We will continue the morning thing of putting him on the potty when he drinks his milk (if he'll let us) and maybe use the pants but then what? do i keep asking him about the potty (i only asked around once an hour as i was trying not to nag) or do i not say anything for now and wait for him to feel uncomfy? I am so desperate not to screw this up and i don't want him to feel under pressure at all as i really don't mind if he's still in nappies now. I hadn't thought about TT until we reached 2 1/2 but after the success today i think i ought to start.
any tips or hints? thanks

Big congrats!!!
Thanks for that.
He peed in the potty again first thing this morning and has sat on it a few more times without doing anything. i'm so proud of him. He's even pulling his 'pants' up himself. Good old bonds tracky daks - nice and easy to pull up and down too.

Thats how Elijah did it, happened so quickly - went and bought a potty, left it in the lounge and let him run around with undies off all the time. I explained what it was for and would remind him all the time without telling him to do it, and when he looked like he needed to go, I would say 'Wees in potty?' He loved it and was frightened of the toilet for about a month, but quickly graduated to the toilet only - wont go in the potty now! As you know we are now nappy free![]()
