Thanx Sammie jane,
Also found a shop here on coast that sells lots of the brand names so I will go and inspect (with my vast experience in nappy choosing-NOT) but at least I may get a handle on what things are.
God, I wish it were horse rugs we were dealing with- no probs shopping in that dept!!!
Strange what you get excited about, cot shopping, prams BAH....But for some reason am in the midst of a MCN fetish. Stupid hormones!!!
But I def get you on the funky look. Whats the point if you cant show em off?
Let you know how i go........ Shell
OK, so all this talk made me do a count up and a long awaited tidy up of my nappy stash...
So here is what i am currently using (gulp) - i also have some that are too small now, so havent included these
12 x Cr@ppy nappies (bought on ebay, flannelette outer and velcro tabs) OK of 1-2 wees only Great when you are waiting for nappies to dry and are at home (and good for those early days)
1 x Pocket nappy (the others she has grown out of)
2 x Happy hineys (need to put a booster in it to get the same time as a BBH)
1 x tots bots nappy (not that great IMO)
2 x Hemp Nappy Chappies (not that great)
3 x LouLou AIO's (i love these)
1 x Bubblebubs AIO (really good too)
2 x LouLou night nappies (love em)
2 x Wool covers for BBH
6 x standard covers BBH or Bumis (I also have another 6 of the next size up)
3 x BBH magicall AIO (ok for nappy bag if needing a quicK change before going home)
1 x BBH magicall AI2 (better than the AIO)
4 x cute covers various makers (2 by Maz)
16 x OSFA BBH
Thats it i think... this gets me 3 full days with some left over, so if i wash on day 2 i have enough to see me through.
I didnt have all these to start with either and i am starting to look for more as i have saved some more $$.
I agree with Mel, i now am looking towards the WAHM made nappies (especially AIO's) and covers....
It is rather additctive!!!
ETA - i also have 12 Bambino Mio inserts/trifolds that i used when MJ was a newborn with cover, i now use these as boosters
