    Oh! I just remembered. And this is totally unhelpful, also, sorry, but DS had a scratch that got infected. NFI how he scratched his penis. But anyway.

    Hiya. I think a strip wash would do the trick and then if you are full sun drying that will be doubly good.

    I'd also recommend using a raw silk liner as this can resove nappy rash too, even if it is only his penis.

    I second the canestan wash. DD1 got an awful rash that ended up needing to be treated with steroid cream. In disposables she was ok, but the cloth brought it right back again until I did the canestan wash, then no problems.

    Poor little guy. I hope it clears up for good soon

    Well it's definitely the cloth nappies. He was in sposies yesterday and last night and the redness has almost gone.. It's so much better than yesterday.. Today I am going to buy some canestan wash, give them the a hot wash, sun dry and try again.. Thanks everyone for your advice

    How did you go with the canestan wash for this BAL? We are having the exact same problem with ds' penis. Got the nappies canestan washing ATM...
