She can hold it for hours!!

I've been TT Liv since Friday morning. I've got her in knickers and I'm taking her to the potty every 30 mins and as soon as she gets up in the morning and after her afternoon tea. We have had differing success. She has peed in the potty at least once each day and she knows the sensation that she needs to pee but the little bugger is holding it in for hours. She out waits me and holds on until she gets her sleep nappy on. She was waking up dry after her day sleep for weeks and weeks but the last two days she is wetting. So far today she has held it for OVER 6 HOURS!! She is busting cause I've been filling her with drinks. The stubborn little girl has her legs clamped together and is holding herself. She sits on the potty and will stay there for different lengths of time.

So my question is how do I get her to pee? I must admit she is one determined little girl and I'm a bit impressed she can hold it for so long.

This toilet training is drinking me stark raving mad.

Please help me get her to pee!!

I've just started TT my DD. started 10 days ago.

We are placing a small sticker on the wall (house being renovated soon so dont really care - but of course you could use a piece of paper) each time DD does a wee. She just loves picking the sticker out and sticking it up!

With poos we have 'special' stickers which she picked out and when she gets three 'special' stickers we have promised to take her bike down to the bike path. But of course offer what ever you are comfortable with.....balloons, blowing bubbles, etc...

Although saying that she has only done a poo on the toilet twice in 10 days and saves them for her nappy during arvo sleep time.

Is it worth doing a bit of extra washing and putting her to bed in the arvo with just her knickers on? She may understand better if she can't 'save' wee's for the nappy.

Although ive just noticed that you have a 4 month old and got lots on your plate already. Sorry, that's probably not much help at all...........

my dd is fully toilet trained and often it can be after lunch and she still won't have needed to go for the day.... i think it can vary between kids, she just has great control i suppose...
when i really want her to go (ie before we are going out etc) i sit her on the toilet and make a 'swwwwwwshhh' noise (like a wee wee noise) and it gets her to go nearly every time)... i also sometimes turn on the tap in front of her so she see's the running water which has mixed results.... sometimes she just doesn't need to go!
