How early is too early??

Hello Ladies,
As a first time Mum I have no idea of when to start Toilet Training? How early is too early. My MIL brought a potty for Jett the other week and I have no idea of when to start him using it.
I have been putting him on it before he has his bath at night.
Any advice would be great.:biggrin:
