I've used both sio and pockets with nappy sprayer - I find that while I only have one surface with the pockets there's still bits that are hard to get around the legs due to elastic. Yes there's multiple layers with snap ins but I find I tend to get poo out more with the sio.
(I prefer snap ins to pockets cause I hate stuffing them)

I prefer pockets, even with a nappy sprayer!

I loved ME cotton fitteds up til about 7 months, then BBHs were good after that.

Not sure if Imse Vimse still do organic cotton flannie flats, but I had some and they're lovely.

DreamEze used to do an organic cotton fitted that I quite liked. It's been discontinued, I think, in favour of bamboo, but they come up on 2nd hand sites from time to time.

It's great that you're informed on the pitfalls of bamboo - if the alternative is disposables, then it's a ridiculous argument, but if you can make the commitment to organic cotton and hemp, then I commend you! I do a bit of both.

I have some homemade AIOs and fitteds, I used bits of old BBH fitteds as boosters. They're bottom-of-the-stash backups, but they do the job!
