We use cloth at home but my mum keeps sposies at her place for when she's looking after DS and always buys whatevers on special so it's a good way of seeing what's good and what's not. She recently bought Coles Dry Fit brand (green packet) which are really good....as good as huggies I reckon, but cheaper. They have a nice amount of padding, no leaks and a cute gumnut babies deisign There have been a few occasions where DS has fallen asleep in the car so we haven't changed him into a clothy when we got home and they have lasted 10 hours or so just fine. He's a pretty heavy wetter too.
I tried everything too and Babylove new nappy pants seem the best for Tara and shes a big wetter at night. Huggies while good give her rash, Aldi's were hopeless on both my kids and they leaked no matter what size. Pampers are good however the crystals kept coming out,
We use Huggies and my little one seems to be leaking out the leg holes - they're too big for his little legs. And if his little widdly is pointing up instead of down we have leaks out the top (still wearing L plates as parents!) Are other brands a better fit? Which ones?
ok time for a dumb question from me, as I only have girls so far no boys, if you have a boy when putting nappy on does the willie go up or down? your post made me think Jleigh! just curious.
im thinking i might chuck a cloth insert inside the nappy tonight and see if that helps! that or start getting ehr to sleep on her back as the back is dry... front full and leaking up tummy!
Could you try boy nappies? Or another trick my MHCN told me, using two nappies..........the first one you put on, you cut a slit through the middle of it, and then put an intact nappy over the top of it, ITMS. That way you get two layers to catch the wee! If it doesn't make sense LOL, let me know and I'll try to describe it better
I would happily give you some of our Aldi ones to try, but I think they might be too big? I'm guessing she needs the Koala ones, and we have Kangaroo. Sing out if you want to give it a go. I think the Kangaroo are 12kg and up.........
janie i have some boy nappies (coles ones) but teh fit is terrible on them, maybe i'll give it a go though! im not keen on using two nappies cos they already cost too much!! i bought the 10-15kg hhuggies ones and she out pees them!!
are you going out this arvo?? if you are id love to try an aldi one but dont worry if your not heading out!!
TBH it looks like she'll out pee anything at night last night i added a cloth nappy booster and it didnt leak!!!
thanks everyone for youor help and suggestions
ive tried most, but ive found snugglers wer ethe best, tho all the ones ive tried work well with the absorbansty.. its just that nearly all the others give her a rash
We are Aldi converts also. I have tried most nappies - my DD is a big night wetter - and Aldi's are the only one's that I have found don't leak - very full, but no leakage.
We have been using Nature Babycare and my DS hasn't leaked at night, he was leaking in the Huggies so I thought I would try something different & environmentally friendly. And they worked!
