Thank you all for your incredibly thoughtful replies. It must have taken some time to put this all together (Gigi you rock ).

I have been converted to cloth! I have bought a few and am playing at the moment .

Candice - you are welcome to make the trip up to the coast at any time and see my stash... I'll probably just bring a couple of fitteds for the kids at the meet up (most likely baby beehinds cos its one size fits all - then I don't have to have heaps of nappies in my bag of different sizes!)

So if you want to see heaps of different types - come on up!! You are most welcome..

That's pretty much what we did with Jovi. I had intended on using cloth from the beginning but when I got her home she was just so tiny and I couldn't imagine how I was going to fold a cloth nappy so a) it wouldn't fall off and b) not be so bulky.

Ended up we had a HEAP of people give us boxes of nappies (good idea for presents!) so we had plenty for quite a while and I think Jovi was almost 2.5 months before we switched to cloth. Now DH won't touch a disposable ... it's like he's forgotten how to put them on!

But with the next one I think I will be the same ... I can handle poos in cloth nappies, but for those first few weeks/months when they can be quite scarey! I would rather not thanks! lol
