Need some advice on tt

Hi I have a 26 month old daughter who used to do wees on the potty quite often but the last 3-4 months she doesn't want to.
I asked the child health nurse who said that it was the only thing in her life she can control & that's why she wont do it anymore.
I totally believe that because she can stay dry for hours at a time, goes all night without weeing infact & she definately knows what to do on the potty but will hold it & as soon as we put nappy back on she will do a wee.
My question is that she has always been a really stubborn child so how will she ever get out of this?
Do we keep trying?
So confused about what to do & we have tried bribing her with all her favourite things but nothing is working.

DS can do it, but won't. I let him go with it. He'll change his mind soon enough and it'll be on his terms then. As your nurse says, there's precious little in their lives they can control, being in a nappy or not isn't that much of an issue for me so it's fine for DS to decide to stay in a nappy.

He would have been fully trained over a year ago if he'd have stuck with it! I didn't realise it would be such a long haul, but for some reason he feels he needs his nappies still. Even holding it for hours then asking for a nappy so he can wee - when the potty is right there!

DD started doing this as well so I did her up a stickers reward chart. She gets a sticker for every wee/poo she does on the potty and then after a few stickers (whatever number you want to use) she gets a reward. I like this way because it is positive reward for going to the potty. Now DD screams "wee/poo mummy get sticker" So cute and she loves to pick out the sticker to put on her chart and is so proud showing daddy how many stickers she has gotten during the day when he gets home from work. Well actually she shows anyone who walks in our door - including trying to show the postmas yesterday, LOL!
