My son is only 9 months and I havent really started to think about toilet training yet....but I saw a potty at 50% off at the target baby sale...its a thomas the tank engine 3-in-1 type thing...sorry cant remember the brand....but its blue and has handles on the sides.
Anyway, Im wondering if anyone has experience with boys and this style of potty??? When I looked at in the shop, it has like a removable bowl in the centre for "easy cleaning" and I was a bit concerned if he starts by weeing sitting down if the pee will even go in there or be more of a fire hose situation lol.
So any advice anyone has would be great. If its a good sort of potty I would love to be able to grab it on sale
Hey, I'm probably a bit late, but I just saw this thread. My sis just bought that potty for her 22 month DS and the first time he used it, he weeed on the carpet instead of in the potty! I think the bowl is way too small to fit both ends on haha.
I have a sesame street one that I bought from target a few months ago. It's similar to the thomas the tank one, but the seat is soft and cushiony, and the bowl is MUCH bigger. I think it is heaps better. It still has the removable bit for easy cleaning. My DS has been using it since about 10 months, and we haven't had any wee outside the potty.
Thanks for that I must say great minds think alike on this one!!!
I bought the Thomas one, brought it home....decided that little bowl bit was waay too small for a boy like you said....so I returned it for the cushiony seasame st one!!!
So right now I am VERY happy to hear your experience....think I made the right choice
