I am having the same prob with my son. He's 2.5 and ready to toilet train, he has no problem holding on. He will sit on the potty say "I'm finished" get up and theres nothing there. he will hang on until I put a nappy on him for his afternoon sleep. I let him run arouond with no nappy as DH ripped up all the carpet and put down uniclic laminate flooring because he recons you cant keep carpet clean so I have kept the mop ready and it hasnt been that much of an issue. The only thing I havent tried is the tap running thing which I might give a go today. My 16mth old has pulled his nappy off wee'd on the floor next to the potty and then sat on it backwards. I think he'll get the hang of it before Lachlan will. Any other suggestions? My eldest son is 10 and I cant even remember what I did with him. I went back to uni a year after he was born and then worked full time so day care did a lot of the hard work for me I think.
