I am lost! DD has been aware of toileting for month now and will take herself to the toilet for a wee or a poo at least once a week. But the rest of the time she is clueless. We use cloth nappies and undies and a few training pants but overall she doesn't seem interested.

She uses the potty if I ask her to sit on it and will do a little wee but 10 min later she will wee on the floor. I thought perhaps it was my lack of motivation but we have been solidly in undies for two days and she is still doing the same thing, it's almost like she will wee on command but then when she actually needs to wee she doesn't make the connection.

She will happily use both potty or toilet - I have recently put the potty in the lounge room in case maybe there wasn't enough time to get tot he toilet or just to remind her.

I put her on in the mornings, after a nap, after eating or drinking, we use praise and stickers and she does seem excited about doing a wee/poo in potty/toilet. I ask her often if she needs to go but always get no. Often she will get annoyed if I insist she sits on toilet/potty and I don't want it to be a struggle.

Do I keep persisting? Do we go back to nappies and try again?

My DS was so much easier and was fully trained within a week, I just don't know what we are doing wrong!
