We have been trying to slowly TT DD, she doesnt really like to wear nappies and is always taking them off, which we thought was a great sign. Anyway she can do all the toileting stuff, EXCEPT wee in the toilet or the potty. She knows when she needs to go and tells us, happily sits on the toilet or the potty all the time, but gets really upset when she actually needs to wee, refuses to do it on the potty or toilet and asks for her nappy. If I say that it is ok to do it on the toilet she gets upset.

Should I just leave her a couple of months and try again, or is there something I can do to help her learn that it is safe to do a wee/poo on the toilet/ potty. I hae tried special stickers, making a happy noise, clapping etc, the few times she has managed to get a few drops out but it doesnt work.

Maybe she just isnt ready, and needs a little bit more time to work it all out.
