    Thumbs down TT going backwards

Yasin was going great at using his potty (he still refuses to use the loo at home) but today he has done 3 pees on the floor (and it's not yet lunchtime).

Has anyone else's child suddenly gone backwards with TT? What the hell do I do about it?
I'm trying to stay cool and tell him to get on the potty anyway although he's too late but TBH I'm getting a bit short tempered (DH is away which always reduces my fuse).

    heeeellpp!!!!

ETA - he just did a poo in the potty (I was a bit scared he would do that in his undies too) so I gave him some chocolate I think anyone who says you shouldn't bribe your children to use the loo hasn't been with the faced the imminent threat of toddler poo in the carpet.

lol at the chocolate bribe for the potty poo, well done yasin!

DS was doing so well at TT that he even held on for ages at the shops til we got to the toilet, but the last week he has just wanted nappies again, he did 1 wee on the potty yesterday of his own accord but thats it. DS is only very young though so im not pushing the issue. th only advice i have for you is that it seems that with TT its 2 steps forward 1 step back til they FINALLY get the hang of it. I wish you all the best with it

Oh Chloe, you are writing my story LOL. Jack has gone backwards several times, and probably will again before this bumpy journey is over. It is very normal. Sadly, the only advice I can give you is to not react at all to the accidents. I know that when DH or I react, even a little bit, Jack is more likely to do it again. It has taken a lot of practise not to react at all - especially when he has smeared poo all over himself and everything, but I am finally able to do it (well most of the time anyway ). GL, I hope this is the last bump in your TT road. Like me, you will get there eventually (so I keep telling myself!!).

Hey Chloe, could it just be that DH is away? I remember when I was younger and my brothers were little they would get extra naughty/irritable when Dad was away like 'I'll teach you for going away and leaving us' rofl. Maybe it's the same kind of thing?
Of course, I don't have a child yet so I know nothing about the joys of toilet training!! lol. But that thought just popped into my head when I read your post so I thought I may as well post it.

I've had to stop TT since Ned went to XH's for the weekend.... and had a few accidents at daycare (three in one day).

I'm going to try again in a month or so... will keep you updated!
