I am rather happy with my girl today. She is 14yrs old and has cerebral palsy, intellectual disability and autism. Last year I had her almost wee trained but not BM trained then she ended up rather ill in hospital and swapped to being BM trained (has only had 2 accidents since march 08) but not wee trained. She has always done a wee on the toilet but also had a wet nappy, that is until today!!!!!!!
I had a couple of days wearing undies inside her nappy with no difference in her toilet habits. Yesterday I kept her in pants all day with no nappy, 2 accidents, and she could feel her pants were wet and she didn't like that feeling.
Today, She has had undies on and been dry all day with going to the toilet every 1 1/2 to 2 hours successfully!!!!!!
Sorry to ramble on forever but I am happy with her!!!
We started in January but then as soon as school went back she stopped going on the tiolet. I started again in the april school holidays with minimal success, But this time I started the toilet training and finally we have success.
My little lady 2 days shy of 15 years old has disregarded her disabilities and ignored every comment ever made about her never being able to be toilet trained and has been all but 100% successful for 3 weeks.
I bit the bullet and took the nappys away again during the school holidays. The worst day was 4 wet undies but most days she has been 100% dry.
