I think maybe you don't need to the final cold rinse. Does that mean your nappies are being rinsed 3 times?
I do a pre rinse then a regular wash cycle. Also the pooey ones get a hose down with the little squirt before the dry pail.

I have done the traditional style soaking of flat nappies and that uses more water. Do you use liners? They can catch quite a bit of poo. Also try not to be too antsy about the nappies coming out stain free from the wash as the sun is terrific at bleaching out the stains naturally.

I dry pail, pre rinse, and then regular wash (on easy care), either cold, or on 40 degrees, depending on how much sun they're going get LOL.

Ah sun. Well it's raining now, but I don't have a clothes line. I need to buy a bigger folding clothes rack to put on my balcony (I live in an apartment).

Does anyone know where to buy a good clothes rack with double fold-out arms? I have a small useless one that I can only fit my BumGs on. I have to put the flats in the dryer at the moment, which is bad.

I have a 2 tiered clothes horse that I got from Bunnings which I have found takes up less space.
