    Default Bamboo Fleece co-op!

Okies if anyone is interested speak up now

If we can get an order of 30+ metres between us all then it will be $14 per metre. If we can't get that much then it will be $15.50.

This is from Snaps Australia and the stuff we got last time from them is terrific For those who haven't seen Bamboo Fleece it is knit on one side and fleecy on the other like windcheater material. One metre of this stuff will make stacks of boosters!

    85% Bamboo / 15% Organic Cotton Fleece

    Skal certified organic cotton

    Width: 150cm
    Weight: 430gsm
Postage costs worked out to be 3 kilo satchel for 1 or 2 metres, I can't remember if 3 metres fits into a 3 kilo satchel. I think it does. 5 metres was about $15.
Because it is 150cm wide one metre is too heavy to put in a 500g satchel. I think it is about 630g but the memory is a bit hazy on the exact figure.

Post what you'd like and we'll see how we go!

I am in for quite a few metres Sammi 10+ at this stage. Just keep in mind that with that fleece you have to get in ten metre lots so if you go over thirty you have to go to thenext break at 40 metres. The fleece I can get is wholesale form 20 metres up and can get in one metre increments fromthen up but is 16.50 a metre....waiting on a confirmation on the wieght of it if that helps.

Whatever Mel! I know how much you've got on ATM so that's why i thought I'd do it.

I guess we could see how much we end up with after a week of letting everyone decide and then I'll email them and see how much I have to order. I don't mind over ordering because last time we had a few who only found the co-op after it had arrived and I ended up giving up some of my stash

Thats true and I think i like the weight of your fleece better....210gms seems mighty thin to me.

It does seem a bit thin. Do you have any to compare?

The fleece we got is thick to sew with. 3 layers would be maximum. I've tried 4 and it's a hard slog for the overlocker and it takes too long to dry.
But is really really thirsty which is the main thing!
