I would have thought the soft side would be out if thats the part thats potentially touching the baby's skin? But thats just a guess, I haven't started yet!
I haven't used it FJ so not sure about that one. I agree with rayray though the smooth side should touch bubba. Did you email the store to ask about why it came in single lengths? I meant to ask that over there. It does seem a bit odd that it came like that.
Yeah I sent an email earlier. The worst bit was that I didn't realise because each end was taped together. I did notice the tape but I thought it was just the end of the bit to stop it from unwinding in the post or something.
FJ - if you're always getting snagged then I say you need new ball point needles? If you're using them. That's what happens to me anyway. Apparantly you get about 5 hours of sewing time out of each needle.
For those that are interested in the little additions dirt cheap microfleece coop:
It looks like we are going to go with the white Africa, planes and hand and feet microfleece as they seem to be the most popular with the majority....if anyone wants to help fill the rolls please pm or email me or post how much you would like...I need to know asap so I can get it at the dirt cheap $4.50 price.
Piccies are on my website in Melanie's album/little additions
Are you using a stretch needle FJ......you need what is called a ball point needle ordinary sewing needles are too sharp at the points and will snag most of those sorts of elastics no matter what way you have it. You can get them at spotlight or whatever
Ah okay it is snagging on the feed dogs. You could put some lunch wrap paper on the bottom of what you are sewing that is closest to the feed dogs and then you just rip it off when you have finished sewing...that trick is great for shiny fabrics that slip too.
