Can Someone Please Tell Me The Difference?

For those of you that make your own fitteds,
Is there any difference between micro fleece & micro polar fleece(for the inner layer)?
Could you just use normal fleece or polar fleece instead (for the inner linning)

Also does anyone know the difference between SP Nappy flannelette & normal flannelette? The Nappy one felt thinner & the girls on the counter didnt know what the difference was

You can use polar fleece, it has the same properties as microfleece for a stay dry inner, but the poo just doesn't roll off as easily, it tends to 'stick' to the polar fleece, so you would want to use a microfleece liner if that's your aim (and run the risk of repelling issues). I think the microfleece and micro polar fleece is the same thing.

This is just my experience!- but I'm not a big fan of normal polar fleece unless it's used on the outside. I find that it is just so dense that the water (or wee!) really sits on it's surface for quite a while before being sucked up by the soaker. I think microfleece is much better.

    Good luck with nappy making!
