Personally I'd go with something natural and lush like bamboo velour Lovely and soft against bub's bottom. Also it will absorb moisture as well, microfibre can be prone to compression leaks so tends to work better with another absorbent material. I never had a lot of luck with it myself unless I teamed it with something absorbent.
I third velour...weather its cotton or bamboo velour...NEVER EVER put plain microfibre directly on skin. It can cause all sorts of skin problems....We have layers between it and mini me's bottom and it still gets red and dry
you can get velour from some of the on line store...even get someone to make you some liners to put over the top or get down to your spotlight and get some microfleece and cut it up as liners..no need to sew it as it doesnt fray
Thanks again girls, Maz how many layers do you have in between the microfiber and bubs bottom? I want to cover the whole booster so that my hands don't touch it at all, even hanging them on the clothes line... but now I'm worried that it may be too drying and reactive even doing that as my skin is so super sensitive as it is let a lone my bubs bottom
Personally, Id get my hands on some bamboo fleece and make some the same size to replace the microfibre boosters. (snaps australia has a special on bamboo fleece ATM - 2m for $30 plus postage)
You could get some microfleece and make like a (pillow) slip to pop the booster in so you dont have to touch it..one layer should be fine and maybe get some gloves when you touching it
*maz have shivers up and down her spin...blahhhhh*
Thanks maz, dh and I have agreed to cut out losses and just get rid of them... I have shivers up and down my spine also I think I might buy some of the bamboo you mentioned and buy a sewing machine and make them myself
megsmum the velour is yum and soft hey? I might get some of that too!
