What are the best covers for terry flats? I was looking at he BBH PUL's. I'm also not sure what size to get. Does it matter if I get them a bit bigger or will they leak?
Jack is 11 months and probably around 8.5 - 9kg, he is not overly chubby...but the flats are quite bulky on him.
Maz's go great with flats, I haven't used them a lot (flats) but i have never had an issue with pootainment. Motherease Rikki are highly recommended as flat covers, especially for newborns so I imagine they're still the great thing for older bubbas too. Welcome to the world off cloth Marlene.
Must say your profile pic of jack in the BL on facebook is soooo darn cute.
I also saw some covers coming into Kitt3n's store that are one size fits all. I will be having a closer look at those when I get back from NZ. I have some sized BBH that I am currently using med and large. DD is jus over 10kg.
I have some MCN's, but also like using terry flats when I am at home (am making some boosters for them when I am in NZ).

: adding something
Baby beehinds ones would go great over flats - they are really generous in their sizings.
However - I prefer leg gussets on my covers - mainly cos the flats never go really close around their legs (well not the way I have my flats anyway!!), so I prefer the security of leg gussets.
Mother-ease Rikki are the bomb. Love em. They rock.
I love gussets too, my favourite covers are the Thirsties, never had a leak. I also like the Bummis covers, the ones we have now have no gussets but they seem to work fine to me. There the two brands in our house lol
I use the BBH PULs with flats and have done for 12 months+ (have only used medium size) but am looking for something else as I find DD is soaking through clothes now. Hasn't been an issue in the past but I think at 17 months she is drinking lots more and we are having to change clothes at each nappy change.
I have used Tots Bots Fleece covers since DD was 6 months old. They are size 2 (their sizing) and still fit her! She's just over 2 now. Just shove the sticky-out bits of nappy into the cover and they never leak. Sometimes a poo-splosion can leak, but hey, that can happen with any nappy!
