    Wool covers - I'm scared!

Everyone seems to rave about wool covers, but I'm scared to use them.........I really like trusty old PUL LOL!

However, I feel I should know what everyone is going on about. So.......what wool covers do you like best, and do you use them over all nappies? We are using flats ATM, but will be using MCN down the track

I use wool covers, I much prefer them to PUL covers.

Sez - I use the BBH wool covers at night and they work great. I have used them over the flats and the MCN (which work far better absorbancy wise) successfuly. I use the PUL during the day and interchange them each nappy change.

Thanks Shannon, glad I'm not the only one! Good info, I guess I'm just going to have to lash out and try it!

Will it be okay with flats though? I'm a bit concerned that because TT isn't as absorbent as some of the MCN fibres that it won't work as well - can you tell I'm paranoid about leaks LOL? Theoretically it should be fine, I know.

Shannon, can you please let me know how your BB wrap goes when you try it?

ETA thanks lizh. Michelle, that's reassuring to hear that someone uses them successfully over flats! Thanks a heap!

I was a bit sus and I hate to admit, scared, but I tried them out during the day first and once confident they worked have no dramas using one overnight!

It was a bit of a spinout at first but now I prefer wool to PUL. I've got a BBH wool wrap and a Shannon handknitted masterpiece

Sez I feel a bit the same way with the wool! and I hate leaks! It just sounds kind strange to me! but I do believe that it works, I'm just yet to try it myself! I think I'll start with a BBH one..
    Good luck!

I am very impressed with my BB wool wrap. DS has a BBB with an extra booster and the wool wrap at night and that combo has never leaked! It easily lasts 12 hours. I started using this set-up after he leaked through sposies night after night. I didn’t lanolise the wrap either, I just used it as it came. I air it out during the day and after a few weeks I still haven’t washed it and it doesn’t smell at all.

I pretty much only use wool covers. I have PUL & Fleece ones but much rather the wool.
I love Longies & shorties etc, they are so cute. I love clasic little girl type of clothing & I think wool gives me that. Matching t-shirt with ****y sleeves & a bonnet. Beautiful!
