    I'm back

OK well, I survived my first AP app. and as I'm in a similar position, I mentioned about having a laproscopy. The AP didn't seem to be concerned about the procedure (lap), only the effects on the body.

The only reason for waiting is, if there is something medically wrong, it may need fixing and quite possibly you would be wasting your money.(as i probably did)

The AP suggested I have a HSG and a scan (less invasive than a lap) to make sure my tube wasn't blocked.

    Not sure if I helped

Sandy - thanks hun .... yeah thats the impression i got too talking to my new AP (well the one im going to after my lap) that if its a medical problem im probably just going to waste my money doing AP
I really cant wait to start AP again.... it was such a weird feeling coming out of my first session..... very relaxing

Amy - Did u end up doing AP yet???

I'm going to wait to go to the AP because I don't even know what my diagnosis is yet. My lap is on 21st November and once I know more about what is wrong I will be armed with more information. I'm looking forward to it though!

If it helps any ... i had a Lap about 4years ago and it was the easiest OP i've ever had ... if i were to have one again it wouldn't faze me do go through it again !!

My only advice is that i had it on a Wed morn and went back to work on the Mon morn, ... had stitches taken out that Mon morn before work and got to work feeling sick and ended up going straight back home and to the GP that arvo with a fever. But all turned out fine But i truely needed an extra day and my surgeon (Gyno) & GP did originally recommend 7 days off

But anyone else might be fine with a shorter period off work (depends on your kind of work too i guess ... as my job was standing on my feet all day) ???
