Question Berroca - can I have it when pregnant? Also a protein question.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant. Just wondering if i can have berroca. I have so much to do and absolutly no energy to do it!! Thought i'd give it a try and see how i go.

    Also,

I'm finding it REALLY hard to eat any type of red meat this pg. I spew it up whenever i eat it...thats if I can swallow it to start with. Anyone have suggestions on other forms i can have to get me through?

I'm interested to know about the berocca too...I'm craving it!

With the red meat, is it only when you have it on its own? What about spag bol or in a stew or something? If it's disguised with sauce IYKWIM?

I can't stand it in any form. Whether it has any type of sauce or not. I just can't eat it

Poor Poor you....Don't know what you can do, if you just can't stand any of it, then that's that! Hopefully it will pass and maybe you can try again. I always LOVE a beef stir fry with noodles or rice.....just cut up small strips of red meat, then if you can't eat them, you can sift through it and still have loads of yummo veggies to eat instead. I hope it passes for you soon x

Hey hun, I went through a stage of hating red meat as well. Make sure you eat plenty of green veges for extra iron and take a supplement as well if you really can bare to eat it.

Not sure on berrocca. Maybe ask pharmacist to look it up and they will let you know.

    Berocca

    Hey Lovely Ladies,

I'd definitely choose something healthier than Berocca - esp. during pregnancy & bf. It only has small doses of B vitamins, small amounts of Calcium, Magnesium & Zinc AND it contains artificial sweetners. It is made by a pharmaceutical company, and I hate to say it, but they put profit far before quality & 'absorbability' of their products.

If you go for a high quality pregnancy multivitamin/mineral supplement, you'll probably find that you won't crave Berocca.

Sorry - but it's better to know these things...

    xxx
